On November 24, Shen Changyu, director of China's State Intellectual Property Office, held a video conference with Tim moss, director of the UK Intellectual Property Office. At the meeting, novel coronavirus pneumonia and the cooperation between the two councils were reviewed, and the future cooperation was discussed. The new summit's response to pneumonia, artificial intelligence and patent trademark review were discussed.
China introduced China's China intellectual property novel coronavirus pneumonia, and Shen Changyu's work on intellectual property rights, especially in the period of the new crown pneumonia outbreak, and the work of China's Intellectual Property Office in the field of intellectual property rights protection, the protection of user rights and interests, and the enhancement of international communication and cooperation. He said that during the special period when the epidemic continues this year, the cooperation between China and Britain is still expanding. 2021 is the 25th anniversary of the cooperation between the two bureaux. We hope that the two sides will take this opportunity to further promote the cooperation between the two bureaus, so that the results of cooperation will benefit more intellectual property users of China and Britain, and serve the innovation and economic and social development of the two countries.
Tim moss said that the current global economic development is highly dependent on intellectual property rights, and the UK attaches great importance to the development of intellectual property rights, so as to ensure that market players obtain high-quality intellectual property protection. The UK and China have close trade exchanges, and intellectual property rights have become an important link. We look forward to consolidating the momentum of good cooperation between the two bureaux, further deepening cooperation, and achieving more positive results in the future.
After the meeting, Shen Changyu and Tim moss signed the 2021 work plan of the State Intellectual Property Office of China and the British Intellectual Property Office. According to the plan, the two bureaus will further strengthen cooperation in high-level exchanges, information sharing and business review.
