Recently, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) released for the first time the reference table of strategic emerging industries classification and International Patent Classification (2021) (Trial). The reference table is applicable to the macro statistical monitoring of the patent development of national strategic emerging industries, which can be used as the reference basis for regions and departments to carry out the statistical monitoring of related industries.
Based on the classification of strategic emerging industries (2018), following the principles of direct industry comparison, comprehensive coverage and priority of application position, and focusing on practical operability and dynamic adjustability, the reference table has established the information technology industry, high-end equipment manufacturing industry, new material industry, biological industry, new energy automobile industry, new energy industry, energy conservation and environmental protection industry There are 1872 comparative relationships between 9 strategic emerging industries such as digital creative industry and related service industry and international patent classification, involving 40 second level strategic emerging industries. There are 8 departments, 89 categories, 317 subcategories, 2893 groups and 3547300 groups in the international patent classification table.
The release of the reference table provides a statistical basis and guarantee for comprehensively, accurately and timely reflecting the patent development status of strategic emerging industries. Next, the State Intellectual Property Office will further strengthen the publicity, interpretation, implementation and application of the reference table, and organize forces to carry out statistical monitoring of patents in strategic emerging industries on a regular basis, so as to provide more solid statistical support for the implementation of the 14th five year plan and the formulation of relevant policies.
